30-30 Winchester .308 150 Grain flat point plated bullets manufactured in the USA. These bullets were designed to function especially well in 30-30 Winchester but can also be used in any other lower pressure loads calling for a .308 projectile. The flat point profile on these projectiles make them safe to use in tube fed lever guns. Two things make these bullets superior to others, the hard lead core and thick plating. These bullets are made with a very hard lead core and are plated thicker than most of the commonly available plated bullets. The plating on these bullets is 7/1000-8/1000 of an inch and that comes standard on all of Northeast plated bullets. Other companies commonly sell the thicker plated bullets as a separate product for more money. Thick plating and a harder lead core is the standard on all of our bullets. These projectiles are totally enclosed in 100% pure copper plating to cut down on airborne lead, reduce fouling, and cost much less than jacketed projectiles. Each bullet is swaged to size and weight, plated, and then resized a 2nd time to ensure consistent diameter. We have tried many different brands of plated bullets and these are hands down the best we have seen.
Tried these bullets at 50 and 100 yards and they shoot great nice groups at both ranges. I will definitely buy these again

These shoot well out of my old Marlin using 24.7 grains of IMR-4198. Now I can practice with it more without burning up hunting ammo.

Plastic bags were a little disappointing ! 1 of the 3 bags of 30-30 the top of the bag came open and some of the contents had spilled out into the shipping container ( No loss ) !

Joe,
Unfortunately all the carriers are very rough on packages. To combat that issue we spend a fortune on those 6 Mil thickness bags and reinforced fiber Kraft tape. The goal is to get you the product without losses, bags can open at times if handled rough enough, that is to be expected. Glad everything arrived as it was supposed to.

Can these be used for 308?garth asked on August 26, 2026
Garth,
You can absolutely load these in 308 Winchester. You should not exceed 2100 FPS, that is really the upper end of these projectiles. You would need to download them significantly to achieve this velocity. It will take some tinkering to get it to work properly. If you don't think you'll have the patience for experimenting, our .308 147 FMJ is a very reasonable projectile that you can load at just about any 308 winchester velocity.
