All boxer primed, reloadable, mixed headstamp 7.62 x 39 brass. Headstamps include but not limited to PMC, Fiocchi, Federal, PPU, and Winchester. This brass is all indoor fired and stored. All of our brass is mechanically sorted 3 times and hand sorted twice but this material gets a third hand sort to make sure it is single flash hole, boxer primed brass. A pen light is shined inside every piece to check and separate berdan cases(2 hole). After this thorough sort we run it through our tumblers to a clean finish to fill our customers orders.
Disclaimer: We give an additional 5% over the weight on 7.62 x 39, on all other types of brass we give 2%. There is a very large deviation in individual case weight with 7.62 x 39 which sometimes causes the counts to either be way over, or close to what you ordered, please understand this. 7.62 X 39 has a rough life being shot through AK’s and SKS’s that are notoriously hard on brass. There will be necks that are not perfectly round, your expander ball on your sizing die will fix this. We spend a fortune on labor removing any brass that has deep gashes or dents. We also remove any necks that are curled inward that your dies cannot fix. There can be small primer pocket brass mixed into this material. We have put this disclaimer here to explain the simple nature of fired 7.62 x 39, we know this brass is a great product at a price point that is hard to beat. We sell out of this brass every week and more than half of the buyers are repeat customers that have previously bought this material. If you are looking for absolutely perfect brass, you should look for new material, not this particular brass.

I was overall happy with these and it’s good they sent some extra with them. I had 2 cases with split necks, 2 Berdan primed cases and I had 9 Norma cases that “would not” fit in a shell holder. I wouldn’t have expected that from Norma, but that’s what I had. In fact I tried 3 different shell holders and they just wouldn’t fit. So anyway, I still came away with a couple of extra cases because they put a bunch more.

These were certainly a mixed bag of head stamps (as is stated) and they came packaged just fine. Out of 500 ordered, I came up 5 short with another one being a berdan primed. I did get some more Norma brass in this bunch that will not fit in a shell holder! Tried several! I had to pitch another 10 because of it. Not all of the Norma’s I got were bad. Probably a 3rd of them anyway. This happened on my last order of 500 too. Kinda strange. I’ll let Nick know I didn’t get that additional 5% over the weight on 7.62 x 39 they show in the add which might have overcome the useless ones I got.

So odd considering Norma is a top tier brand of ammo! Weird that they wouldn’t fit in the shell holder, if those Norma would’ve fit in the shell holder it would’ve been good to go. The guys are packing up a care package to send your way with some more brass to cover the shortage. I also had them calibrate the counting scale to make sure it’s on point.
