458 Socom/45-70/.458

.459 diameter 405 grain flat point lead cast 45-70 Government bullets.  These projectiles feature a beveled base, have been lubed, and are made with a 92/6/2 lead mix giving them a hardness of 16-17 brinell.  This lead mix is the most desirable mix and is absolutely necessary for rifle projectiles.  

350 grain .458 diameter flat point plated bullets with a cannelure, manufactured in the USA.  These bullets will make tack driving ammo for any cartridge calling for a .458 diameter bullet but are most commonly loaded in 45-70 Government and .458 Socom.   Two things make these bullets superior to others, a hard lead core and thick plating.  These bullets are made with a very hard lead core and are plated thicker than most of the commonly available plated bullets.  The plating on these bullets is 7/1000-8/1000 of an inch and that comes standard on all of Northeast plated bullets.  Other companies commonly sell the thicker plated bullets as a separate product for more money.  Thick plating and a harder lead core is the standard on all of our bullets.  These projectiles are totally enclosed in 100% pure copper plating to cut down on airborne lead and reduce barrel fouling.  Each bullet is swaged to size and weight, plated, and then resized a 2nd time to ensure consistent diameter. 

After years of trying a number of plated bullet companies, we have found these to be superior to all others.  These are not a foreign made, sub par product commonly peddled online.  The consistency in weight and diameter along with a thick plating make these truly superior to others.  We will not compromise quality in an effort to save money, the saying "you get what you pay for" holds true with these bullets as with anything else.
