The Speer Gold Dot is the premier defense round used globally by law enforcement and civilians alike. The Gold Dot line begins with a lead core and using Speer’s Uni-Cor electrochemical process, it bonds the jacket to its core. By bonding the jacket to its core it ensures uniform jacket thickness for superior accuracy and eliminates core/jacket separation. What we were most excited about with these bullets is that there is a cannelure. With so many of our customers loading 45 ACP or 45 Auto Rim for wheel guns, the cannelure on this projectile will allow you to firmly roll crimp which is the proper crimp for a revolver. For the traditional semi auto pistol crowd, you can simply use your normal taper crimp and they’ll function properly for that application as well. We got these on a large buyout from a commercial loader that closed their doors, so we will not likely see these again.
